PUPPY’S SIBLINGS
If you go to Bilbao, there he is, all alone, taking care of his titanium house built by Frank Gerhy. But Puppy has siblings. These vegetal puppies are all around the world and the same as with pedigree dogs, it is really expensive to get one of Jeff Koons’ puppies. Puppy’s siblings are in Rockefeller Center, New York, in Arolsen, Germany and in Sydney.
ARTIUM (MARCH 18-OCTOBER 5)
This museum’s last works are on display. Visitors will have the opportunity to see special proposals by different artists. These are some of them: Mujer Perro or the one we love called Isak Dinesen y Denys Finch Hatton in Bene Bergado’s Amores Trágicos project.
BIRDCALLS
At the beginning, Audubon birdcalls were for hunters or ornithologists, but, nowadays, they have turned into souvenirs. A family in the USA makes birdcalls by hand. Nevertheless, we suspect there is some kind of child exploitation behind this successful business after watching the so “american” advertisement.
CHARLES HARPER’S ILLUSTRATIONS.
We are amazed by Charles Harper’s illustrations. Back in the 60’s and influenced by cubism and minimalism, he made animal illustration modern and wonderful collections. He was not interested in animal physiognomy’s details, but he tried to capture animals’ main expressions and soul.

WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE COFFEE
Luwa, the wild cat who lives in coffee lands, eats coffe beans. The coffee beans that are mixed with his poop are world’s most precious coffee beans. Luwa lives in Indonesia. His poop doesn’t have a particular flavour. However, this cat always picks the best coffee beans. The beans that come out of his butt cost 750 Euro per kilo.
VEGANS
They are not either the bad ones in Star Trek or fans of Antonio Vega. Veganims is a way of living and a philosophy. They are against specism, anthropocentrism and teocentrism. No, they are not extraterrestrials. Their diet is 100% vegetarian and they don’t buy or eat any animal product or defend any activity that underestimates animals.
MONEGROS DESERT FESTIVAL (JULY 12)
On July, we´ll go back to the desert as we did the last 14 years. There, we will enjoy the sunset and the sunrise with the Monegros lizard. This edition of the festival is a return to the roots and to show you that, you just have to see the animals comming to the dessert on july: Agoria, Cipress Hill, Miss Kittin, Soulwax, Laurent Garnier, 2many Djs, Richie Hawtin, Oscar Mulero, Cristian Varela,... among others.
MONTEHERMOSO (MAY 23-AUGUST 31)
It is not made to be just an exhibition hall. This showplace is holding new and risky proposals, like these projects in the initiative “Art and research”: Bori’s Achour’s “Conatus”, Miren Arenaza’s “Glass ball”, Amaya Gonzalez’s “I want to be like On Kawara”, Adrian Julia’s “Signs for another place”, Loreto Martinez Troncoso’s “But, where are you?”, Amalia Pica’s “Robinson Crusoe”, Miguel Angel Rebollo’s “Play Rebollo”, Tere Recarens’ “Kultur Karma” and Lisa Rosendahl’s “Use conditions”.
THE BALDE’S CAMPAIGN AGAINST PET HUMILIATION
Lately, we are scared. It is painful when we go out on the streets and see how these defenseless animals are humiliated and mistreated. Who will approach them to smell their butts? who will play with them with these kinds of aberrations? There should be a law to take these pet’s legal custody away from their owners.

Begihaundi collective organized last year’s Getxofoto and they are coming back this year with a new edition. And it is good that this original project, that started as a small thing, will be out on the streets again. This year, we are already ready to find out the imaginative and new way in which national and international works will be shown.
I WANT TO BE AN ANIMAL
And now you can have your body changed into an animal. There are tattoos, surgery, silicon implants. Nowadays, you don’t need to wait for reincarnation to become your favorite animal. If your friends don’t call you anymore don’t worry, there will always be a group of vegans to take you out.
WHERE DO DEAD ANIMALS GO?
Some go to heaven, some to hell, but, most of them go down the toilet or to trash cans. Ramones’ song said: I don’t want to be buried in a pet sematary, and Stephen King’s novel is entitled Pet Sematary. However, you can have a niche on the net. This will make everybody happy. You can pay tribute to your little friend and we will laugh at his expense.
