MASTERS AT WORK

Latin Sounds · Verve / Universal

The Latin influence that the Masters at Work couple has received throughout their trajectory is excellent. Due to this fact, it is not weird for us to get an album like this. They have submerged themselves into the catalogue of the Verve record company and they have rescued songs by Willie Bobo, Dave Pike and Cal Tjader. Apart from this, they bring us a gift: an arrangement of Willi Bobo’s song “La descarga del Bobo”, Latin never dies!

ZEIN?

Photograma · Metak.

Pop melodies have been added to the usual distortion in the second album of the Biscayans. Within the lyrics, there are references to the sea, the path and escaping. It seems we are in front of the excluded photogram that Sarrionandia mentioned. This is compulsory for the fans of the old Ama Say and contemporary Zein? And for those who don’t know them yet, this is the ideal album to dive into their special guitars and melodies.

MOUSE ON MARS

Radical Conector· Thrill Jockey

I am in love with the last album of these Germans and if you do like electronic music, something similar will happen to you. If we turn back time, 11 years ago, we see these two participants on a Death Metal concert (Andi Toma & Jan St. Wemer). They met each other there and so formed the group. This German group has made a step forward and a research in the development of sounds in "Radical Conector". This time they have added voices which can be heard in all the song in one way or another. Long live death metal!
