no goodbyes... or goodbye
irudia
I’ve just erased the last farewell editorial I wrote. I’d written about our work over the last 15 years, thanking people near and far, saying why we’re going away and many other things... But, as you can imagine, nothing new.
When we say goodbye, we usually give explanations, excuses, talk about missing things and people, bad moments, tears, and hopes for the future. But we know there’s no farewell we’ll ever be wholly content with. When we say goodbye, it’s usually because of some type of failure. Even so, we wouldn’t have imagined following Beckett’s slogan about “fail again, fail better” for fifteen years.
In this last number of the balde, we’re offering you different ways of saying farewell.
No goodbyes... or goodbye,
but with dignity.
